Homecoming Planning Begins!

Now that school is coming to a close, it is time to start planning homecoming!

Now that you’re thinking about homecoming, check out some of our homecoming planning tips.

Plan early!

Procrastination is NOT the way to go here. Homecoming takes tons of planning. Therefore, you should get a head start and book the biggest things, venue and entertainment, now. This saves you the stress of getting things together at the beginning of the year or right before the event. Plus, one of the bonuses of planning ahead is that most entertainment companies give discounts to early bookings (well, at least we do).

Do something unique!

By planning early, you can start brainstorming early. Take your time thinking of ideas and themes. If you are still having trouble coming up with something completely new, we can help you do something your school has never seen before

Get students excited

There are thousands of ways to get people pumped for the game and dance at the end of the week. An assembly is usually the most common event of homecoming week. However, you can make that unique too with a guest appearance by our dance crew, Footklan.  Spirit days are also a must. Center spirit days around your theme and make them unique to your school to boost spirit. These are all great ideas, but to get maximum excitement, you have to do something the students don’t expect… a lunch jam! This is something we provide to our clients to spark excitement for the dance. Have a DJ come out to your lunch and play some tunes to get kids talking about the end of the week dance.

Customize your event

Students love to have things all about them or their school. This is possible in many ways. First off, try to incorporate your school’s mascot and colors into your theme. You can also create a custom brand for your event to give it an exclusive touch. If you have a super awesome entertainment company like us, you can even get custom designed flyers and posters for your event!

Fundraise! Fundraise! Fundraise!

Probably one of the most important parts of the planning process is fundraising. This determines the success of your dance. Get students involved in fundraising by selling candy during classes, holding raffles during lunch, or even having a school wide garage sale. You should start fundraising as soon as possible… literally. A good time to start is during homecoming of last year. That’s how important it is. This is more a common sense tip, but it can’t be emphasized enough. Once again, if your entertainment company is as amazing as us, they will help you with your fundraising!
