Kellis High School gets KRAZY

For the first, and certainly not the last, time ever Arizona Pro DJs rocked out with Raymond S. Kellis High school for their new and improved Winter Formal. The dance was held in the school’s gym that was frosted with decorations. The tables were set with lanterns to create a Winter Wonderland atmosphere.
All the way till the very last song, the dance floor was packed. The students of Kellis were pumped up by DJ Will See and went Krazy for every minute of the dance. Their energy moved from the dance floor to the bleachers during the YMCA where you could find all of the students performing for us! The dance ended with the traditional song Krazy and left the students begging more an encore! Don’t worry, we will be back soon to rock out with Raymond S. Kellis!

Red Bull Thre3style DJ event

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010, the Arizona Pro DJs team headed out to the beautiful Venue of Scottsdale for the Red Bull Thre3 Style DJ tournament (yeah, we got our tongues tied saying it too). Sadly, Arizona Pro DJs was not featured in the tournament, but rather, the team went to scope out some new talent and take a break from all the prom planning we have been doing lately.

What is the Red Bull Thre3 Style? Basically, it’s the chance for some of the best DJs in the entire state of Arizona, to show their stuff and prove they are the best of the best. Six different DJs, each playing a 15 minute set with at least 3 different genres of music. Judges rated the DJs on their skills and crowd rocking ability. There were four judges including DJ Jazzy Jeff, himself! All the DJs were very talented and showed they had some jaw dropping skills. The DJs included in the battle were M2, Tricky T, DJ Nameless, Cutswell, DJ Sonny, Robby Rob, Death to the Throne and D-JR.  Each DJ played a unique set and showed off their best mixing and scratching skills. Songs played ranged from your classic hip-hop to some of the newest club bangers and also some oldies and even some classic rock tracks. The crowd favorite was D-JR and the venue was filled with people chanting his name. I can still remember those three letters repeating in my head. D-J-R… D-J-R… D-J… you get the point. Featured in azTeen Magazine

Arizona Pro DJs was recently featured in azTeen Magazine for our expertise on the hottest music!

Aside from your classic Flo-rida, and Lady Gaga tracks, I see Akon’s newer high energy music such as Sexy Chick to still be hot during prom time, as well as his new track Nosey Neighbor (Takin’ it off). Every artist seems to have a new song released every week, so we’re always on the look out for the hottest ones. One of the most promising songs has got to be Pitbull’s new song Pearly Gates which samples DJ Sammy’s classic song Heaven. Pitbull even just jumped on and remixed Kesha’s newest track Tik Tok, which is a must play at all proms. Speaking of remixes, Lil Wayne recently remixed Drop It Low, which was a huge hit at all of our winter formals. Although there is all this new music, some of the classics such as Cupid Shuffle, and Outkast’s Hey Ya! are some of our most popular songs. Why $395 DJs don’t belong in YOUR SCHOOL!

Homecoming and prom are becoming more and more elaborate affairs ever year. Extravagant venues, Hollywood-quality décor, and even 5-star food is what students will find at many of these dances. Unfortunately the person responsible for the nights entertainment, the DJ, sets up a tacky 2 speaker system and a small tree with a light show that was decent back in the mid-90s.

Ouch. What an eyesore.

It’s not the school’s fault– after all, DJs are all the same, right? Continue reading ‘Why $395 DJs don’t belong in YOUR SCHOOL!’
