All the way till the very last song, the dance floor was packed. The students of Kellis were pumped up by DJ Will See and went Krazy for every minute of the dance. Their energy moved from the dance floor to the bleachers during the YMCA where you could find all of the students performing for us! The dance ended with the traditional song Krazy and left the students begging more an encore! Don’t worry, we will be back soon to rock out with Raymond S. Kellis!

It is starting to get cold in Arizona, but things are just heating up with Arizona Pro DJs. This past weekend Arizona Pro DJs rocked Red Mountain High School’s winter formal dance. The dance was held in Red Mountain High School’s gym where the decorations were flawless. Upon entering the gym, each student was greeted into a winter wonderland complete with falling snowflakes and sparkling ice-cycle lights. While some students’ excitement led them straight to the ‘sweets’ snack bar, others did not hesitate to hit the dance floor and get down to DJ Will See’s live mix.

The Winter Formal at Red Mountain is put on by the National Honors Society. You can always spot them on the dance floor from the first song, to the last. However, there are a couple of songs that really get the students hyped up. One of those songs is Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. We get at least five requests a night for this song, so it is a must play. Another song that made the crowd go crazy was a custom video edit to the classic song Shout. Many would think that the teens of today wouldn’t enjoy hearing Shout at their school dance, but they went crazy!DJ Will See’s energy was through the roof the entire show, and the crowd definitely felt it. As usual, DJ Will See ended the night with the Arizona Pro DJs tradition: Krazy. Arizona Pro DJs can’t wait to be back at Red Mountain!

In the meantime, you can check out the amazing pictures taken at this year’s Winter Formal by visiting http://www.facebook.com/azprodjs.

What is Entrepreneurs Organization Accelerator, you might ask. Continue reading to find out!

Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) is an organization founded by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. EO is a global network of more than 8,000 business owners in 38 countries. The EO Accelerator is an intensive educational program with content focused on the four key issues that first stage entrepreneurs face: strategic planning, sales and marketing, human resources and finance. There are several Accelerators in cities across the US, but each city’s accelerator only allows 30 participants.

Will Curran featured in 35 under 35

“I am honored to be one of the 30 entrepreneurs selected by EO to participate in their Phoenix accelerator” said Will. “This experience is going to open new doors for me and my company. I know I am going to learn a lot of really valuable lessons, and connect with a lot of very influential people”.

Will has been in the accelerator less than two months and has already seen great benefits. He has participated in two Accountability Meetings, and one Quarterly Learning Event. The Quarterly Leaning Events are daylong events where entrepreneurs must turn off their phones, disconnect from their computers (not an easy task for any entrepreneur) and focus all their attention and energy on learning something new that will help their business.

“Being in the accelerator and meeting their other members has been huge for me. The ability to get feedback and discuss ideas has given me the opportunity to take what they say and apply it, in real time, to my business. I love it!”Participating in the EO accelerator is not the only feather added to Will’s cap lately. Recently, he was featured in the Arizona Republic’s 35 under 35; a list of the top 35 entrepreneurs under the age of 35 in the Phoenix Metro area. Will was the youngest entrepreneur featured in this year’s group. Arizona Pro DJs Facebook page was recently named in the top five Facebook pages for small businesses in the world.

See teen events like never before with the video experience.
This is like nothing you have ever seen at a teen event before. We created an entirely new visual, music and dance experience through video. Featuring some of the top video DJs, and some of the most jaw-dropping content combining movies, music videos, television and even YouTube clips, then combined with the interactive craziness of live crowd cameras, and text to screen.

This isn’t your typical DJ party.
The DJ has gone from becoming just the music master of your party, but the total party entertainer. Not only do they mix and scratch all of the latest music, our Video DJs mix and scratch your favorite TV shows and integrate them into the show. All of the visuals are then displayed on plasma screens, projectors, or even a jumbo-tron style LED screen!

Let your guests get their fifteen minutes of fame.
Bring crowd cams to your next event and let your guests feel like they have hit the big time when they get put on the huge screens. When the MC tells the guests to “make some noise” the video DJ cuts to the crowd jumping up and down yelling. It’s like the kissing cam at baseball games minus the whole kissing part.

Create a text message chat room right on screen.
Imagine hundreds of people chatting live on the screen, turning your event into a virtual chat-room! Create an interactive fun atmosphere that teens will love. Create live polls and let students vote for their homecoming king and queen. We can even take song requests. It’s completely filtered and each message has to be approved prior to showing up on screen. It’s time to let your guests have a say, let them speak by text message with our text to screen service.

Personalize your event with custom video content.
Put a special touch to your event by creating custom content for your next event. Imagine the seniors are dancing away to Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, and as the song plays, pictures and video of the senior students is playing along to the song. Here’s another idea, as the guests of your event enter, they a greeted by a custom intro welcoming them to your event and getting them pumped up. The possibilities are endless!

Bring your pictures to life
Gone are the days of taking a picture and waiting to hours or even days to share it with everyone. Why not share a picture with everyone instantly after it is taken. With our picture to screen technology, as pictures are being taken, we can take them and display them for all your guests live. We can even send you the pictures taken after the event for you to share with anyone unlucky enough to not be at your event!

That is just the beginning when it comes to the Video DJ Experience by Arizona Pro DJs. We will be debuting this hot new service in many back to school and homecoming dances across the state of Arizona.
Now that school is coming to a close, it is time to start planning homecoming!

Now that you’re thinking about homecoming, check out some of our homecoming planning tips.

Plan early!

Procrastination is NOT the way to go here. Homecoming takes tons of planning. Therefore, you should get a head start and book the biggest things, venue and entertainment, now. This saves you the stress of getting things together at the beginning of the year or right before the event. Plus, one of the bonuses of planning ahead is that most entertainment companies give discounts to early bookings (well, at least we do).

Do something unique!

By planning early, you can start brainstorming early. Take your time thinking of ideas and themes. If you are still having trouble coming up with something completely new, we can help you do something your school has never seen before

Get students excited

There are thousands of ways to get people pumped for the game and dance at the end of the week. An assembly is usually the most common event of homecoming week. However, you can make that unique too with a guest appearance by our dance crew, Footklan. Spirit days are also a must. Center spirit days around your theme and make them unique to your school to boost spirit. These are all great ideas, but to get maximum excitement, you have to do something the students don’t expect… a lunch jam! This is something we provide to our clients to spark excitement for the dance. Have a DJ come out to your lunch and play some tunes to get kids talking about the end of the week dance.

Customize your event

Students love to have things all about them or their school. This is possible in many ways. First off, try to incorporate your school’s mascot and colors into your theme. You can also create a custom brand for your event to give it an exclusive touch. If you have a super awesome entertainment company like us, you can even get custom designed flyers and posters for your event!

Fundraise! Fundraise! Fundraise!

Probably one of the most important parts of the planning process is fundraising. This determines the success of your dance. Get students involved in fundraising by selling candy during classes, holding raffles during lunch, or even having a school wide garage sale. You should start fundraising as soon as possible… literally. A good time to start is during homecoming of last year. That’s how important it is. This is more a common sense tip, but it can’t be emphasized enough. Once again, if your entertainment company is as amazing as us, they will help you with your fundraising!

Need more tips on how to put on a successful dance? Call/Email/Text us now!

Looking for something new and original to have at your next event? Check out this new service called Pixal Paint. This creative new program allows users to create custom paintings on a huge projector screen the size of a wall. You can even upload an image on to the screen and allow guests to color it, draw on it, or even sign on the page. It is completely original and customizable and there is only one of its kind available in Arizona. Sound cool? You bet! Read more about Pixal Paint and find out how to have it at your next event!

So this is how it works, an altered spray paint can emits infrared light that shoots through the screen into a camera. The projector then copies the movement on to the screen. The system is user friendly and very similar to the classic paint program that is on most computers. Backgrounds, logos, or even themes can be uploaded on to the screen to allow guests to sign, color, or draw over the image. The image can then be printed, saved, or shared via email. Imagine this at your next school dance. Upload your school’s logo, have students sign their name over the logo, and put the page in your yearbook, or even pass it out as a poster. Here’s a video to check out Pixal Paint in action at the Miss USA contest 2010 with Best Buddies.

To get PixalPaint for your next event, contact us now and we’ll make it happen! But remember, we’re the only one’s in the USA with this amazing service so it will book up quickly!

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010, the Arizona Pro DJs team headed out to the beautiful Venue of Scottsdale for the Red Bull Thre3 Style DJ tournament (yeah, we got our tongues tied saying it too). Sadly, Arizona Pro DJs was not featured in the tournament, but rather, the team went to scope out some new talent and take a break from all the prom planning we have been doing lately.

What is the Red Bull Thre3 Style? Basically, it’s the chance for some of the best DJs in the entire state of Arizona, to show their stuff and prove they are the best of the best. Six different DJs, each playing a 15 minute set with at least 3 different genres of music. Judges rated the DJs on their skills and crowd rocking ability. There were four judges including DJ Jazzy Jeff, himself! All the DJs were very talented and showed they had some jaw dropping skills. The DJs included in the battle were M2, Tricky T, DJ Nameless, Cutswell, DJ Sonny, Robby Rob, Death to the Throne and D-JR. Each DJ played a unique set and showed off their best mixing and scratching skills. Songs played ranged from your classic hip-hop to some of the newest club bangers and also some oldies and even some classic rock tracks. The crowd favorite was D-JR and the venue was filled with people chanting his name. I can still remember those three letters repeating in my head. D-J-R… D-J-R… D-J… you get the point.

The competing DJs in the tournament

However, there had to be a winner. That winner turned out to be D-JR (We sort of gave it away, huh?). Followed by Death to the Throne in second place, and Robby Rob in third. The winner of this tournament, D-JR, won $1,000 and the opportunity to represent Arizona in the national Thre3 Style competition. If he wins at nationals, he will move on and compete at the international level! Go Arizona!

After they announced the winner, our faces were rocked by DJ Jazzy Jeff performing a special set to end the night. Playing some classic tracks that brought us back to our childhood, we felt a certain.. nostalgia in the air. After a long night of dancing, intense yelling of D-JR, and drinking too much Red Bull, our team was exhausted. We went to bed, and got ready for another long day of planning parties (hey! It’s not like we ONLY go to the parties).

Okay now that I have your attention (it works every time with college students) I want to tell you about this AWESOME event we just got back from yesterday. It is called, The Taste of Perry. What is the Taste of Perry you might ask? Imagine, a one stop shop for EVERYTHING you want for prom season, now add about 10 different food vendors handing out samples by the plateful. We’re not talking your typical sample snack foods either. For example, Chipotle was giving out whole burritos, then only feet away you could get a huge cup of Jamba Juice. Sounds delicious? Well, I haven’t even mentioned the best part yet. Arizona Pro DJs was the featured (actually the only, I guess that’s how good we are) music entertainment vendor. Pretty awesome right? Enjoying amazing food, and listening to Arizona Pro DJs, there is NOTHING BETTER.

Perry High School’s parent organization put on the entire event at the high school and featured some food vendors such as:

Panda Express

Chipotle

La Casa Blanca

Red Brick Pizza

Rubio’s

Jimmy’s of Chicago

Native New Yorker

NYPD Pizza

Red, White and Brew

Village Inn

McDonalds (yes, the fast food guys)

Chic-fil-a

Cathy’s Rum Cake

and more!

On top of all the amazing food, they featured some of the best in non-food vendors for prom planning including:

Twirl Boutique

Brunswick Zone Bowling

Dr. Bates Chiropractic

Phoenix Teen Events & Celebrations Magazine (one of our favorites!)

Largo Photography (one of our favorites!)

Green Screen Entertainment (one of our favorites!)

and of course, Arizona Pro DJs

Sounds like a lot right? Well it was, and it was a HUGE success! Raising money for the first senior classes’ graduation night, the entire event raised an enormous amount of money for the class and they are sure their graduation night will be a success. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this event and we hope if you miss it this year, you will certainly be there next!
